I got a chance to travel to Nepal and India in the winter of 2000/2001. The original plans were to leave from SA to Nepal, but sadly work interfered and we had to travel to France to assist with the year end. The company agreed to foot the bill for the flight changes, but as one was cancelled and we were put up in the shonkiest hotel ever, it didn't help that much.
