At the risk of being a conspiracy theorist, I find it fascinating that at least three countries (UK, Ireland, and Australia) all decided we need to ban X because some users used Grok to put bikinis on some people. Of course it is dressed up as a CSA issue.
I think the real reason is that Kier Starmer in the UK has been community noted so often lately for telling porkies. Ireland is jumping in because X has its European headquarters in Dublin and the EU sees this as a cash cow. Of course, Ireland just wants to be the best boy and will do anything for the EU. I already have to use a VPN to view some of the joke accounts I follow, thanks to EU meddling. Will be interesting if I have to do the same just to interact with others on X.
